“EXPRESSION OF INTEREST” FOR DESIGN CONSULTANCY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF RAILWAY
BRIDGES ACROSS CHENAB RIVER AND ANJI-KHAD IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR STATE, INDIA
Sub : Invitation of “Expression of Interest”
for design consultancy contract for construction of Railway Bridges across Chenab River
and Anji-khad on Katra – Laole section of Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla
Railway Link Project in Jammu & Kashmir State, India.
The Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. has been
entrusted a turnkey project of construction of Railway line from Katra to Laole (90 Km) in
J&K state by Government of India due to their expertise in construction of bridges,
tunneling and successfully completing the projects in adverse geographical conditions. This project is to be implemented in a very rugged
and mountainous terrain involving lot of bridging and tunneling. The alignment crosses
deep gorges of Chenab River and Anji-khad and these locations are situated in remote areas
with very difficult approaches. The L-section
of the proposed locations are enclosed.
The “Expression of Interest” is hereby
invited from the experienced National and International reputed consultancy firms,
consortia, Joint ventures of significant financial standing and with experience in
designing major civil engineering projects of bridges and also competent to work as
Project Management Consultant for the above bridges. Based on the outcome of the “Expression of Interest” exercise, KRCL
will initiate further process for short listing and selection of eligible firms for
implementation.
The Interested firms may like to familiarise
themselves with the project through site visits and / or perusing the documents in order
to make their own assessment of the project. They may contact GM(Tunnels) for site visit at following address –

The interested firms are requested to submit their
credentials including past experience of executing the similar works, their financial status, organizational setup
available with them etc., in the EOI format
enclosed so as to reach the office of GM(Projects)/KRCL, Raigad Bhavan, 8th
Floor, P.B. No. 45, Sector 11, CBD - Belapur, Navi Mumbai – 400 614, INDIA, Telephones – 022-27572015/ 16/ 17 Ext.
221/ 204 on or before 27th November 2003.
The
respondents/ firms shall be solely responsible for any cost they may incur for site
visits, transport, faxes, postage and telephone etc in the process of submission of the
“Expression of Interest”. KRCL
reserves the right ‘ at its absolute discretion to proceed or not to proceed with
this exercise. Should they require any,
