Konkan Railway has successfully delivered two state of art 1600 HP DEMU Trainsets with modern amenities to Department of Railway, Nepal on 18/09/2020 under guidance of Hon’ble Minister of Railways. This is under Indian Government’s policy of Make in India - Make for World and is a flagship export of India to find great visibility in Nepal.

It has been decided by Northern Railway to augment extra coach on temporary basis in Train No. 02284 / 02283 H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn. – H. Nizamuddin Duranto Weekly Special to clear extra rush of passengers. Details are as under :

The restoration work of Pernem tunnel at Km 384/6-7 between Madure & Pernem station of Karwar region is successfully completed and the track fit certificate was issued at 22.00 hrs on 15/09/2020 and traffic is restored. The details are as under:

1) Train No. 02617 Ernakulam Jn. - H. Nizamuddin Special Express dated 15/09/2020  onwards will run on proper route via Madgaon - Roha - Panvel - Kalyan.

Railway Board has decided to extend the cancellation, partial cancellation and diversion of the following trains upto 15/09/2020 :

Cancellation of Trains:

1. Train no. 06346 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Lokmanya Tilak (T) Special Express journey date from 11/09/2020 to 15/09/2020 is cancelled.

2. Train no. 06345 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Thiruvananthapuram Central Special Express journey date from 11/09/2020 to 15/09/2020 is cancelled.

Good news for Candidates attending Exams!!! It has been decided to run Special Trains between Mumbai CSMT / Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (Kolhapur) and Sawantwadi Road / Madgaon Jn. for Candidates attending exams of National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) in co-ordination with Central Railway and South Western Railway. In continuation with the Press Release dated 03/09/2020 regarding Running of Examination Special and Regular Special Trains, it has been decided by South Western Railway to revise the existing composition of 15 Coaches of Train no. 06585 / 06586 Yesvantpur - Karwar - Yesvantpur Daily Special Express  as under :

Revised Composition:

Composition : Total 14 LHB Coaches = 2 Tier AC - 01 Coach, 3 Tier AC - 01 Coach, Sleeper - 07 Coaches, Second Seating  - 03 Coaches, Generator Car - 02.

Good news for students and passengers!!! It has been decided by Ministry of Railways to run examination special and regular special trains between Yasvantpur and Karwar via. Nelamangala - Shravanabelagola - Padil bye pass. Details are as under :

In continuation with the Press Release “Running of Ganpati Special Trains - 2020” dated 14/08/2020, the timings of Train no. 01111 Mumbai CSMT - Sawantwadi Road Daily Special, journey dated from 25th August to 05 September 2020 has been revised.

The train will arrive at Sawantwadi Road station at 16.30 hrs instead of the earlier notified timing.
