UPDATE ON TRAIN DERAILMENT

As a special gesture to the stranded passengers of Train no. 12133 CSTM-Mangalore Exp, which was partially cancelled at Madgaon station in Down direction, Konkan Railway has arranged for full refund of fare to the passengers rather than partial refund as per extant rules for the untravelled portion of the journey

RE-RAILMENT WORK AT SITE

Konkan Railway officials are working on war footing at the affected site for bringing about an early restoration. As many as 155 labour and about a hundred KR officials, including Director (Operating & Commercial) – Shri Sanjay Gupta – and the Principal Chief Engineer – Shri Rajesh Agarwal, are at the site to attend to re-railment of coaches and restoration of the track under the guidance of Chairman & Managing Director of KRCL, Shri Bhanu Prakash Tayal.

TRAIN POSITION

The following trains are cancelled :

1) Train no. 56640 Mangalore-Madgaon of 4/5/2015.
2) Train no. 12224 Ernakulam-LTT Duronto Exp of 3/5/2015
3) Train no. 10216 Ernakulam-Madgaon of 4/5/2015

Special train will be run between Karwar and Mangalore on the path of Train no. 22635 Madgaon-Mangalore Intercity Express on 3/5/2015.

TRAIN SERVICES RESTORED ON KONKAN RAILWAY ROUTE

The train services on Konkan Railway route, which were partially disrupted following derailment of 10 coaches of Train no. 12223 LTT-Ernakulam Duronto Express South of Madgaon, near Balli station on 3/5/2015, have been restored at 0205 hrs today. The 10 derailed coaches were re-railed at 2310 hrs followed by clearance of the track and the Track Fit Certificate was given at 0205 hrs. A light engine will be passed through the affected site first.

TRAIN SERVICES RESUMED ON ROUTE

Train services have resumed on Konkan Railway route. After the Track Fit Certificate was given at 0205 hrs this morning, a light engine was successfully passed at the site at 0410 hrs. Thereafter, first passenger train to pass the site was 12618 Mangala Exp at 0500 hrs. This was followed by 12620 Matsyangandha Exp.

Good news to esteemed passengers ! It has been decided to run following Additional Summer Special Trains on Konkan Railway Route to clear extra rush of passengers  in co-ordination with Central Railway.  The details are as under :-

1) Train No. 01005/01006 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Madgaon – Lokmanya Tilak (T)       (Tatkal Special)

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to permanently augment Train no. 16338/16337 Ernakulam – Okha – Ernakulam Express with one 2-tier AC coach with immediate effect.

Passengers may kindly avail the same.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to permanently augment the following trains with one Second class Sleepar  coach as per the details given below.

Undertaking activities under the Rail Yatri/Upbhokta Pakhwada (Rail Passenger and Customer Facilitation Fortnight) which is being observed by all the zonal railways from 26th May to 9th June, 2015, Konkan Railway has launched its “Celebration of 25 Years of Sadar Seva”. With its Motto as ‘Sadar Seva’, Konkan Railway is scaling new heights in areas of passenger care and satisfaction as it celebrates its Silver Jubilee this year on 15th October. To commemorate the occasion, an Action Plan booklet was also released by Shri B P Tayal, CMD/KRCL, for compliance by all the employees of KRCL.

Good news for passengers !! It has been decided to run Superfast Express special train between Indore – Kochuveli – Indore during summer season via Konkan Railway route to clear extra rush of passengers in co-ordination with Western Railway.  Details are as under.

Train no. 09310/09309 Indore – Kochuveli – Indore Superfast Express

Train no. 09310 Indore – Kochuveli will be run on June 9, 16, and 23. The train will leave from Indore at 2105 hrs and reach Kochuveli at 1910 hrs on Thursday.
